Before becoming a member of Whitaker Chalk Swindle & Schwartz, PLLC in December 2014, Michael Kaitcer was a partner with the law firm of Harvard & Kaitcer, LLP (formerly Bishop, Payne, Harvard & Kaitcer, L.L.P.). He had been associated with that firm since his graduation with honors from the University of Texas Law School in Austin, Texas in 1983. He is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization with a practice involving probate administration and litigation, estate planning, Will contests, guardianships and estate and gift taxation, as well as assisting clients with business planning and transactions involving partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and other entities. Besides being a member of the State Bar of Texas, he has also been admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and the United States District Court for the North District of Texas. In 1992, he was a founding director of the Tarrant County Probate Bar Association and continued to serve as a Director through 1996 and again from 1999 to 2003. In addition, he is a member of the Real Estate Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and a member of the Fort Worth Business and Estate Council. He has been an author and speaker at seminars put on the National Business Institute, Inc., the State Bar of Texas, and the Tarrant County Probate Bar. He is also a frequent speaker on Estate Planning and Probate for Civic and Professional Organizations. He is married to Elizabeth Anne Kaitcer, and has a daughter, Katharine Gwyneth Kaitcer, who is a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin.
